The Audrain County Health Department (ACHD) will celebrate Public Health Week April 6-12.
Missouri’s theme this year is, “Public Health. Better Health. Better Missouri” and has a focus of “Good personal health is connected to good public health. Each individual has an impact on the health of the nation. We continue to achieve our goal as the healthiest nation in one generation.”
There will be an Open House held at ACHD on April 10, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. ACHD is located at 1130 S. Elmwood, Mexico. The public is invited to come to get to know a little more about what Public Health does in and for the community and enjoy some light refreshments.
During the Open House, there will be several displays including the issues of weight, blood sugar, blood pressure, and hemoglobin checks, breastfeeding, car seat safety information, an interactive hand washing demonstration, door prizes, a coloring contest for kids, and lots more!
Come join us in celebrating Public Health in Audrain County. We look forward to seeing you and showing you what an impact Public Health can have in your life.
