The 7th Annual Van-Far A+ Career Fair will be Friday, November 13 at 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
This year nearly 20 presenters will share information on their chosen careers with the students in grades 7-12.
Many presenters are Van-Far graduates or have Van-Far connections.
The Six Career Paths are: Human Services, Natural Resources Agriculture, Business, Management and Technology, Arts and Communication, Health Services, and Industrial and Engineering Technology.
All the students at the high school have chosen their career path and their coursework is aligned with that career path.
There will be six presentation sessions, one on each of the Career Paths.
All the students will participate in the Career Fair.
Juniors and seniors have the opportunity to visit with college, tech school, and military recruiters during the afternoon College/Tech/Military Fair in the VFHS gym.
Parents are welcome to share in the College/Tech/Military Fair open from 12:30-2:30 p.m. in the gym.
This year, the upperclassmen at Community R-VI High School and Mark Twain High School are also participating in the afternoon College/Tech/Military Fair.
The A+ Coordinator is Joy Davis and the A+ Secretary is Gayle Jones. These two ladies with the support of the high school principal Cindy Pirch and the high school guidance counselor Jackie Waller have planned and organized this busy day.
