The Rev. and Mrs. Ralph Adamson of Quincy, Ill. are celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary with an Open House at Bickford Cottages of Quincy, Ill. on June 22 at 2 p.m.
Ralph married Naomi Marie Oak on June 12, 1953 at Edgington Presbyterian Church in Edgington, Ill.
They have devoted their lives to serving Presbyterian PCUSA churches in Sherrard/Pleasant Ridge, Ill., Tipton, Iowa, Bushnell, Ill., Vandalia, Mo., Osawatomie, Kan., and Mt. Sterling, Ill.
They have four children: Ann (Steve) of Germantown Hills, Ill., Ralph (Cathy) of LaGrange, Ill., Ruth (Bill) of Vandalia, Mo., and John (Pam) of Allentown, Pa.
They have nine grandchildren: Rachel, Matthew, Lindsey, Melissa, Meg, Christopher, Elisabeth, Jasmine, and Mari.
Ralph and Naomi have enjoyed retiring in Quincy. Ralph was an avid Model Railroader, served Boy Scouting, and loved camping.
Naomi loved cooking, gardening, and directing Church Women United’s choir.
Both Ralph and Naomi have enjoyed their church Quincy Presbyterian PCUSA, singing with the Quincy Symphony Chorus, and serving as volunteers at Blessing Hospital. Organizers of the event are looking forward to many friends and family joining the Adamsons to help them celebrate their special day. The presence of close friends and family is the only gift they need.
