51st Founders’ Week at Faith Tabernacle COGIC

On October 27-29, Faith Tabernacle COGIC, 907 W. Home St., will observe their 51st Founders’ Week. The celebration will begin on Friday evening. Services will begin on Friday evening at 7 p.m. with memories and reflections of members passed on and accomplishments. We will also have an observance of breast cancer awareness with a testimonial of a breast cancer survivor and a nurse to speak on breast cancer. We are asking for everyone to wear pink in observance of this. Refreshments will be served after the service. On Saturday afternoon, the service will begin at 1 p.m. The guest speaker will be Bishop Frank Douglas, Jr., 4th prelate of Missouri Western 1st Jurisdiction of Churches of God in Christ, Kansas City, Mo. Dinner will be served following the service at the First Baptist Church Multipurpose Building on Main Street.
On Sunday afternoon, services will begin at 2:30 p.m.
The guest speaker will be the Rev. Daniel Williams, of New Direction Church of God in Christ, Congregational of Belleville, Ill. Dinner will be served following the afternoon service at the Modern Maturity Building, 104 E. Joe Street.
The theme of the weekend will be “51 Years… Striving, Enduring, Conquering…”
