4th Annual Tom Cullwell Memorial Tractor Pull brings strong competition

Posted on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at 8:12 pm

The Fourth Annual Tom Cullwell Tractor and Truck Pull came roaring to life Friday last week at the Vandalia Area Fairgrounds.

This tractor pull was named in honor of Tom Cullwell, who lost his battle with COVID in August 2021. It was then, that his family and many, many friends decided to hold a memorial tractor pull in his honor. Tom loved his tractor pulls, his family said, and having one named for him is a fitting tribute to a man who was loved by so many in his community.

Crowds gathered Friday and Saturday night for a weekend of pulling at the Vandalia Area Fairgrounds. Weather was beautiful both nights and the fairgrounds had a great turnout.
