JERRY EASTWOOD

              Funeral Services for Jerry Russell Eastwood, 84, of Laddonia, were at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Laddonia with pastor Bill Maupin officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation was Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the Bienhoff Funeral Home in Laddonia.

Mr. Eastwood passed away surrounded by family at 4:35 PM Friday, April 4, 2025 at Baptist Homes of Tri-County in Vandalia.

He was born January 26, 1941 in Tebbetts the son of Benjamin Russell and Maxie Pearl Sampson Eastwood.

Jerry married Dorothy Lee Kesler on December 24, 1959 in Mexico and she preceded him in death on November 30, 2020.

Survivors include: one son; Jim (Terri) Eastwood of Laddonia, one daughter; Donna (Shawn) Evans of Laddonia, one brother; Donald (Valerie) Eastwood of Pevely, three grandchildren; Brooke (Scott) Booska of Thompson, Ashley (GJ) Davis of Laddonia, and Jacob Eastwood of O’fallon, and six great grandchildren; Hudson Booska, Emery Booska, Maddox Booska, Rayden Booska, Kinsley Davis, and Madelyn Davis.

He was preceded in death by one infant son Russell Lee Eastwood, one brother Robert Eastwood, and two sisters Betty Maxwell and Glenda Hays.

Jerry was a lifetime area resident and active member of the Laddonia community. Jerry worked twenty-four years at C&E Refractories and then drove a truck for many years. He helped for many years with the Laddonia Athletic Association and the fourth of July celebration. Jerry coached or assisted with several youth softball and baseball teams. He was always a leading supporter of his children’s sports activities. Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting quail, deer, and coyote along with camping and gardening where he was always glad to share his harvest with neighbors and friends. Most of all Jerry enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and he will be missed by many.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Eastwood, GJ Davis, Scott Booska, Shawn Evans, Lyle Morris, and Larry Tiller.
