The East Central Drug Task Force and Northeast Missouri Drug Task Force seized one-half ounce of methamphetamine after serving warrants at two Vandalia residences in the evening hours of January 24.
According to Audrain County Sheriff Stuart Miller, officers arrested Timothy James Scott, age 31, of Vandalia, in the 400 block of West Bland. Aside from the methamphetamine, four rifles, one handgun, drug paraphernalia, and $640 in cash were also seized from the home.
Scott was charged with class B felony distribution of methamphetamine and class D felony tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution.
He was released after Ronnie L. Woods posted bond in the amount of $30,000 on January 28. Scott’s arraignment is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 19.
With arrests pending as of press time, police served a second warrant in the 700 block of West Page, seizing four grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The two search warrants were the result of an investigation conducted by both drug task forces and served with assistance from the Vandalia Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office.
The East Central Drug Task Force was organized in 2001 and serves the cities of Bowling Green, Mexico, Montgomery City, and Vandalia, the counties of Audrain, Montgomery and Warren, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
