Caryn Atkinson looks on as the bus pulls away heading towards the Special Olympics for students Zaid Palomares and Landon Donaldson.

A Game Night and Book Fair was held on Thursday October 3 at Van-Far Elementary School.
“We had a good turnout,” said PTO President Jolleen Kurz.
Melissa Deimeke and Tasha Lennox co-chaired the game night as the elementary gym was filled with games such as table games, card games, “Operation,” “Twister,” “Jenga,” washers, and many more games that were borrowed from the community as a whole. A+ students, parents, and staff all volunteered to help make the day a success.
Many community businesses donated items and the FFA made a “Super Jenga” for the raffle.
The Book Fair, chaired by Annie Wallace, was open especially for Game Night; but was also open a few days before and after school, and during the parent teacher conference with many in attendance.
