The Vandalia Area Historical Society will have a guest speaker on Friday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Genealogy Library on Main Street.
Audrey Jones will speak about her experience of getting into the world’s largest hobby, genealogy. The program will also include her work with the Pike County Genealogical Society and Museum. She will speak about the many projects the society is doing to continue the growth of their many resources. She will give clues to those interested in their search of their own family histories.
“The journey in finding out who you really are is one that’s worth traveling. And along the way, share with the children of the family. It’s something worth giving,” Jones says.
So come out, learn, share, and enjoy. It’s worth the trip! Everyone is welcome.
