Missouri Baptist Convention Executive Director Dr. John Yeats visited the Audrain County Courthouse last Wednesday during a stop in the Southern Baptist denomination’s “Pray Across Missouri” initiative.
The purpose of the event was to engage Missouri baptists in prayer for the transformation of lives and local communities with the gospel.
Plans include prayer meetings being held in every one of the state’s 114 county seats during 2017-18.
During the gathering in Mexico, law enforcement officials Audrain County Sheriff Matt Oller and Mexico Chief of Public Safety Susan Rockett, along with county and city officials, area pastors, and many others circled an area for prayer.
Pastor Joseph Pike, of First Baptist Church, Bryce Kristofferson, of Centennial Baptist Church, and Dr. Yeats led the group in prayer.
