Task Force makes arrests

During the evening hours of November 6, the East Central Drug Task Force, assisted by the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), served a search warrant in the 1000 block of East Lafayette St. in Mexico. As a result of the search warrant, officers arrested four persons and officers seized methamphetamine, marijuana, and illegal drug paraphernalia.
Arrested were:
• Joseph Fredrick Hultz Jr., 40, of Mexico, for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Melissa Dawn Echavarria, 42, of Mexico, for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Chelci Raeann Crum, 32, of Mexico, for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Cody James Echavarria, 19, of Mexico, for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Persons arrested for criminal offenses are merely accusations, and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The Audrain County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to working closely with area law enforcement and community partners to make Audrain County a safe place to live and work.
