The Monday Study Club met at 2 p.m. March 11 at the United Methodist Church. Helen Doris Ray was the hostess.
The meeting was called to order by Deedie Reading, president, as she led the pledges to the American and Christian flags.
Jackie Marshall had the devotional from the Upper Room, based on John 7:37-39, titled “Living Water.” She closed with prayer.
Roll call “Honor” was answered by 11 members.
Doris Ray was in charge of the Duty, “What Shall I do about Jesus,” based on John 19:1-15. She also led the question and answer session.
Martha Hopke was in charge of the Special Study. She read two articles from the book “Funny you don’t look like a Grandma,” written by Lois Wyse. It was enjoyed by all present.
Those attending other than already mentioned were Val Galloway, Helen Jerman, Donna DeTienne, Helen Thompson, Donna Tilman, Edna Mae Wallace, and Kay Reading.
The meeting was adjourned as well as all members recited the Club Collect in unison. The next meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. March 25 at the United Methodist Church with Deedie Reading and Ann Foreman as hostesses and Val Galloway and Jan Shaw giving the Special Studies.
