Rotary Club President Joe Boone, left, presented a Level–7 Paul Harris Fellowship recognition to club member Rennie Davis, right, during the club’s meeting Thursday, December 19 at the Vandalia Hotel. Davis has contributed $7,000 to the Fellowship since becoming a member of Rotary in 1977. The Paul Harris Fellowship is named for Paul Harris, who founded Rotary with three business associates in Chicago in 1905. The Fellowship was established in his honor in 1957 to express appreciation for contributions of $1,000 or more to the humanitarian and education programs of The Rotary Foundation. Fifteen Vandalia Rotarians and their spouses are Paul Harris Fellows.
