R-VI track has solid Monroe City meet

At the Dennis Hancock Invite in Monroe City, the Community R-VI Lady Trojans track and field team took fifth place with 44.5 points, while the Trojans placed seventh with a score of 29.
Elisa Swaim placed eighth in the 100 meters with a time of 15.13 seconds. Brianna Beamer was third in the 800 meters (2:34.50) and second in the 1,600 meters (5:51.46).
In the 4×200 relay event, Dalaney Bowers, Paige Risenhoover, Elisa Swaim, and Natalie Thomas took fifth (2:03.15). Alissa Craig placed fifth in shot put with a distance of 30’05.25”.
In the discus Natalie Thomas finished third (98’07”) and Alissa Craig took seventh (81’07”).
Natalie Thomas, with a distance of 106’04”, finished second in the javelin. Paige Meyer, with a height of 4‘08”, placed third in high jump.
Danny Kuda earned second in the boys 400 meters (55.60).
In the 800 meters, Caden Escamilla placed sixth (2:23.48) and Garrett Schmidt took eighth (2:33.87).
Garrett Schmidt, Danny Kuda, Austin Taylor, and Eric Hombs took sixth in the 4×200 (1:41.40) and they also placed fourth in the 4×400 relay (3:52.95).
Danny Kuda, in the javelin, placed eighth (112’) and Caden Escamilla was second in the triple jump with a distance of 40’06”.25.
