The Community R-VI School District selected sophomore Conner Brooks as king and senior Rebekah Polacek as queen during this year’s Courtwarming held Friday, December 14.
Brooks is the son of Dana and Michelle Brooks. He is involved in FFA, FBLA, and varsity basketball. He is student president for the sophomore class. His hobbies include watching sports, hanging out with friends, hunting, and fishing. His brother Cameron won the award the previous year and presented him the crown during this year’s ceremony.
Polacek is the daughter of Timothy and Joyce Polacek. Her siblings include Sam, Kevin, and Stacey. She works part-time at Charm’s Hallmark Shop and also works as a tutor and babysitter. She plans to attend Truman State University in the fall.
Other 2012 Courtwarming candidates were freshmen Karissa Graves and Gavin Spoor, sophomore Dana Schulte, juniors Lindsey Gastler and Shane Myers, as well as senior Cameron Foreman.
Crown Bearers were Taven Lewis and Tessa Smith.
