Proclamation signed for “Thank A Farmer Week”

A large gathering of Audrain County officials, Missouri and Audrain County Farm Bureau members, along with FFA students from both the Mexico and Community R-VI School Districts inside the Audrain County Courthouse for a proclamation signing.

Audrain County’s Commissioners officially signed a proclamation on Monday morning to recognize the annual “Thank A Farmer Week,” which is held annually from February 5-11. The Missouri Farm Bureau and the Audrain County Farm Bureau take part in the statewide celebration each year. Those present for the signing at the Audrain County Courthouse included Western District Commissioner Tracy Graham, Presiding Commissioner Steve Hobbs, and Eastern District Commissioner Alan Winders.
Others were local Farm Bureau members Brent Erisman, Patty Fennewald, and Jerry Johnson; Audrain County Farm Bureau President Barb Wilson; Audrain County Emergency Management Director Steve Shaw,; Audrain County Collector Kate Becker, the Missouri Farm Bureau’s Northeast Regional Coordinator Steve Roberts; and several FFA members from both the Mexico FFA and Audrain County R-VI FFA organizations.
Classroom presentations will be made at St. Joseph Catholic School and Community R-VI.
Audrain Farm Bureau members will deliver food items to the Ronald McDonald House on February 8.
