Exposed wooden lathes where vintage plaster has broken away and a seemingly endless number of tasks at hand doesn’t deter Charles Overton from his vision at all.
In fact, he finds it quite encouraging.
Overton, and many others who share the vision, have been busy, continuing their Lincoln Cultural Center project, one methodical step at a time.
Early Monday morning, the concrete trucks pulled up to the western Vandalia site as a long front sidewalk went into place. And, as usual, there were volunteers there to get the work done.
But concrete, new tile bathroom floors and the early makings of a kitchen aside, it is the goal which keeps them on track.
