VANDALIA—Movies in the Park was well attended in spite of a fairly humid evening, as well as distant lightening and the possibility of rain Saturday July 20 at the Vandalia Tri-County Park.
Nearly 50 people came to watch the movie.
Beacon of Hope Assembly of God Church Pastor Nathan Geesey said he was prepared in the event of a light rain.
Many who came sat out on the lawn using their own lawn chairs and blankets, while still others had simply gathered under the pavilion next to the Vandalia Family Aquatic Center and playground parking lot.
