The Monday Study Club met at 2 p.m., September 10, at the United Methodist Church. Ann Foreman was the hostess.
The meeting was called to order by the president, Deedie Reading, as she led the pledges to the American and Christian flags.
Jackie Marshall had the devotional from “Cappers Farmer, the Farmers Flu.” She closed with prayer.
Roll call “Joy” was answered by nine members. There was one guest, Donna DeTienne.
Ann was in charge of the Duty, “Gods Love During Trouble,” taken from John 11. She also led the question and answer session.
Val Galloway was in charge of the Special Study. She read two articles, one was “Where Did Labor Day Come From,” and the other was “The Greatest Thing in the World,” based on 1 Corinthians 13, which is the love chapter.
Those attending other than already mentioned were: Helen Jerman, Martha Hopke, Doris Ray, Helen Thompson, and Edna Mae Wallace.
The meeting was adjourned as all members recited the Club Collect in unison. The next meeting will be in September 24 at the United methodist Church.
