The Monday Study Club met at 2 p.m. on December 10 at the United Methodist Church. Donna Tilman was the hostess.
The meeting was called to order by the president, Deedie Reading, as she led the pledges to the American and Christian flags.
Jackie Marshall had the devotional from the Upper Room “The Moment of Salvation.” She closed with prayer.
Roll call “Righteousness” was answered by 12 members.
Donna Tilman was in charge of the Duty, “Holy Spirit, Teacher and Guide,” based on John 16:1-15. She also led the question and answer session.
Kay Reading was in charge of the Special Study. She read two articles from “Emmanuel” and “Christ, the Lord.” She told us of her many experiences of visiting other churches with her friends. She finished with a reading of “A Big Event.” It was enjoyed by all.
Those attending other than already mentioned were Ann Foreman, Val Galloway, Helen Jerman, Martha Hopke, Doris Ray, Helen Thompson, Edna Mae Wallace, and Donna DeTienne.
The meeting was adjourned as all members recited the Club Collect in unison.
The next meeting will be on January 14 at the United Methodist Church with Kay Reading as hostess and Doris Ray giving the Devotional.
