The Monday Study Club met at 2 p.m. Monday, November 26 at the Tri-County Care Center. Jackie was the hostess.
The meeting was called to order by the president, Deedie Reading, as she led the pledges to the American and Christian flags.
Jackie Marshall had the devotional from the Upper Room and closed with prayer. Roll call, “Pure,” was answered by 11 members.
Jackie Marshall was in charge of the Duty, “Christ’s Reputation in Your Hands,” based on chapter 15 of the book of John. She also led the question and answer session.
Helen Jerman was in charge of the special study, “Thanksgiving, County Your Blessings,” based on the hymn, “Count Your Blessings, Name Them One by One,” which was her grandmother’s favorite hymn. She also read an article from Reader’s Digest entitled “The Golden Ivory Tablecloth.”
Those attending other than already mentioned were Ann Foreman, Val Galloway, Kay Reading, Doris Ray, Helen Thompson, Beverly Largent, Donna DeTienne, and Donna Tilman.
The meeting was adjourned as all members recited the Club Collect in unison. The next meeting will be held on December 10 at the United Methodist Church with Donna Tilman as hostess and Kay Reading giving the Special Study.
