One man was shot dead last week and suspects are in custody after an incident in Mexico, Mo.
According to the Mexico Public Safety Department, the MPSD was called to the 500 block of Mudrow St. regarding a person who had been shot. They reported around 5:26 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1.
Officers then found 27 year-old victim Tajuan Williams, a Mexico man who had been involved in the altercation, had been shot one time.
He was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital-Audrain, where he later died.
The Division of Youth Services (DYS) issued DYS warrants for the detention for the teenagers, all wards of the State of Missouri, identified as being involved in the shooting.
On Saturday, Feb. 2 at approximately 1:40 p.m.. the suspects were taken into custody.
After they were processed at MPSD, Dekhise E. Dorsey, 17, of Mexico, was taken to the Audrain County Jail and charged with murder (2nd degree), assault (1st degree), unlawful use of a weapon, and armed criminal action.
The two 15-year-olds were taken to detention centers by the 12th Circuit Court Juvenile Division for similar charges.
