Maureen (Cleary) Maue, age 76, of Bowling Green passed away, Friday April 5, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones.
Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday April 9 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Jeffrey Dock officiating. Memorial visitation was held from 11 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home.
She was born May 27, 1936 in St. Louis, the daughter of John Francis and Lillian Marie Gorman Cleary.
Mrs. Maue will be so missed by those who knew her ever-present, sometimes irreverent, humor, her keen wit and intelligence, and especially her selflessness and profound kindness to others. The kindnesses shown to her were paid back in home-baked brownies, cookies, and hugs. If you were ever the beneficiary of them; they came directly from her heart and you should know you were special. She was a very loved lady, a treasured friend, wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her five children: daughter Christine Smith and husband Kent of Texas, daughter Donna English of Louisiana, son Jim Maue and wife Carol of O’Fallon, son Steve Maue and wife Cammie of Warrenton, son Matt Maue and wife Angie of St. Peters; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; step-father Bud Dallmann of Texas; sister LaDonna Thoele and husband Howard of Texas, brother John Cleary and wife Joan of Texas and brother Dale Dallmann and wife Nancy of Montana; four nephews; two nieces and her dearest friend Mary Ellen Moser of St. Peters. She was preceded in death by her parents John Cleary and mother Lillian Dallmann; her husband Raymond Maue of 52 years, two grandchildren Joshua Smith and Luke Maue and her great-grandchild Winter Zabenco.
