The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International’s (JDRF) Heart of the Home Kitchen Tour gave visitors inspiration for their kitchen renovation on Thursday, November 14 in St. Louis.
Blue skies and mild fall temps greeted 300 visitors as they toured 10 magnificent kitchens in JDRF’s self-guided Heart of the Home Kitchen Tour in St. Louis’ central corridor.
Visitors were offered a variety of decors from country casual to sleek and modern. Each showcased gorgeous materials in rich colors, stunning surfaces and layered textures for backsplashes, cabinetry, flooring and lights.
Open-concept floor plans also provided access to living and dining rooms that lead to generous great rooms and kitchens.
“We are honored every November, Diabetes Awareness Month – by the generous participation and support of builders, designers, home owners, restaurants and caterers,” said M. Marie Davis, Executive Director of JDRF Greater Missouri and Southern Illinois Chapter. “This year’s Kitchen Tour brought the event’s total fundraising to more than $120,000. That impressive sum goes directly to JDRF as we fund research to significantly improve the lives of people with T1D (type 1 diabetes) and move forward on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating and curing diabetes.”
The Heart of the Home Kitchen Tour committee would also like to thank the caterers, advertisers and volunteers for their support.
