Larry E. Orf, age 56, of Bowling Green, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 at St. Joseph West Hospital in Lake St. Louis.
Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the St. Clement Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Peckman officiating. Burial was in the St. Clement Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
Larry was born May 10, 1956 in Louisiana, the son of Ezra Henry and Marie Gladys Brown Orf. Survivors include his mother of Bowling Green; one son Adam L. Orf and wife Andrea of Bowling Green; one daughter Mary Conners and husband Luke of Clarksville; four grandchildren Kamia Conners, Braxton Pitzer, Michael Orf and Wyatt Orf; one brother Danny Orf and wife Carolyn of Bowling Green; three sisters Wanda Wilson and husband Gary of Frankford, Janice Robinson and husband Philip of Bowling Green, Carolyn Touchette of Bellville, Ill.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Larry was preceded in death by his father and one sister Shirley Henderson.
He enjoyed growing up and living in Pike County his entire life. He was employed by UPS for 23 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting trap and being outside. He enjoyed mowing his yard, being around his grandchildren and spending time with family. He had been a member of Knights of Columbus # 1928 and was active in Promise Keepers. He loved to laugh, had the brightest smile, never had an enemy and was loved by everyone. Larry loved life.
Serving as pallbearers were Jared Robinson, Travis Henderson, Terry Wilson, Vance Wilson, Greg Touchette and Brian Touchette. Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Orf, Danny Orf and Amanda Henderson.
