The Vandalia State Farm Agency welcomed Alex Hopke, licensed fire and casualty team member. Hopke joins team member Ashley Graham, who has been in the office since July of this year. Cindy Blaylock, agent, reported that she is happy to have the office staffed with these local residents, who are excited to meet clients of Vandalia and the surrounding area.
Graham was born and raised in Vandalia, the granddaughter of Norma and Edward Parks. As customer service representative, she manages the phones, takes premium payments, and refers clients to licensed sales staff for quotes and changes regarding their insurance.
Hopke, also born and raised in Vandalia, graduated in 2011. He is the son of Dan and Danita Hopke. Hopke is finishing college courses and will be full-time in the office beginning in January. He is licensed to service and sell auto, homeowners, and farm policies. He is currently accepting clients on Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays.
Blaylock has been assigned the Vandalia office since January while the company searches for a new full-time agent. She has been an agent in Louisiana since May 2005 but has been associated with State Farm Insurance since 1989. She employs seven team members, who staff both the Louisiana and Vandalia offices. During the assignment, Blaylock is available to meet with clients to renew policies and accounts any day of the week by appointment. All staff members have been trained extensively to meet customers to assure their insurance needs are met.
The Vandalia State Farm team is planning a Holiday Open House and encourages everyone, clients and residents, to stop by from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 29.
