Homecoming Week at Van-Far

It’s officially Homecoming Week as the Van-Far/Community R-VI football team takes on Clopton/Elsberry at 7 p.m. Friday, September 22.
The game concludes a week filled with activities.
The schedule starts with dress-up days. They include favorite Disney character (Monday), Disney dynamic duo (Tuesday), king and queen royalty (Wednesday), black and gold (Thursday), and class colors (Friday).
A Powder Puff game, featuring junior and senior girls, will be held from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Septebmer 20. A donation of $1 is being accepted for the game to go to a charity of choice picked by Stu-co.
Students in each of the grade levels will participate in the Mini Olympics starting at 1 p.m. on Friday.
The annual Homecoming Parade will also be held at 4 p.m. on Friday starting at the South School Park. Floats will need to be in place by 3:30 p.m. for judging.
During halftime of the game, a Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned.
Candidates include seniors Mackenzie Kurz and Jacob Garner; juniors Jordan Garner and Trevor Crider; sophomores Madalyn Cole and Morgan Slatten; and freshmen Aubriana Willis and Tony Garland.
