The Kansas City Southern Holiday Express stopped in Mexico last Wednesday as Rudy led the way on the trails, eager to meet area youngsters.

The Kansas City Southern’s (KCS) Holiday Express, created in 2001, visited Mexico last Wednesday to provide a fun time for kids of all ages.
The KCS Holiday Express is a six car train that brings Santa and his elves to communities such as the downtown KCS station in Mexico.
There was a very long serpentine line of children and adults alike gathering at Mexico’s downtown KCS Railroad Station at 4 p.m. that kept growing from the railroad tracks all the way back to Jefferson Street as evening fell.
The line was filled with children waiting to visit with Santa Claus and board the KCS Holiday Express to see the miniature villages with model railroad layout.
One layout had an HO gauge replica of the KCS Holiday Express running along it’s rails.
Also, once inside, they could also see a collection of Santa Claus dolls, a collection of nutcrackers, Christmas stockings, and more.
