Hardee’s in Mexico suffers fire damage

Fire damage at Hardee’s.

On Friday, Feb. 15, at approximately 1:19 a.m., the Mexico Public Safety Department responded to Hardee’s in the 700 block of W. Jackson in Mexico in reference to a fire. Several passersby reported seeing flames coming from the roof of the building towards the back.
Responding personnel did observe flames coming from the area of exhaust vents on the roof. Upon entry, fire was located in the office area of the business and it was spreading above the drop ceiling. The fire was extinguished with the office area suffering significant fire damage and the rest of the building suffering significant heat and smoke damage.
The Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office responded and investigators from that office and MPSD are working to determine the cause of the fire. There were no injuries from the incident.
