Glendle Gower, age 70, of Farber, passed away at 8:53 p.m. on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Mo.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until service time at the Farber Baptist Church on Saturday, January 5, 2013.

Officiating was the Rev. Jerry Ostrom.
Music was provided by Sterling Holbrook – organist.
Interment was in the Farber Cemetery.
He attended area schools and has lived in Farber the last 50 years. Glendle worked for 20 years at Harbison Walker Refractories in Vandalia for 20 years in the specialty department, retiring in 1991. He then owned and operated Gower Trucking Company for nearly seven years, before health reasons prevented him from working any longer. Glendle was a member of the Farber Baptist Church and enjoyed many hobbies. He enjoyed working on old cars, attending the area fairs and mowing. Glendle also enjoyed music and was an Elvis fan, making the trip to Graceland several years ago.
Gower was born on June 8, 1942 in Onia, Ark. the son of Conley Hugh and Vivian (Moore) Gower.
He was married to Wanda Sue Branstetter in Vandalia on May 10, 1962.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda of Farber; three daughters: Tammy E. and husband, Dwight Orf of New Hartford, Mo.; Glenda M. and husband, Jeff Branstetter of Moberly, Mo.; Nicole Crenshaw of Centralia; two brothers: Ray C. and wife, Brenda Gower of Farber; Douglas and wife, Gertie Gower of Hannibal; two sisters: Mary F. Beish of Clearfield, Pa.; Vicki and husband, John Cragen of Center, Mo.; eight grandchildren: Brandon Branstetter, Cassie Branstetter, Alex Branstetter, Jason Orf, Shane Orf and Ashlee Orf; Jeffrey Crenshaw and Jordan Crenshaw; also survived by five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Farber Baptist Church.
