Francis C “Frank” Burgert, 73 years old, of Vandalia, Mo., formerly of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., died Monday, August 26, 2013 at his home in Vandalia, Mo.
He was born Wednesday, June 26, 1940 in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
He married Marilyn (Wells) Burgert on Saturday, August 17, 1985.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Burgert, Vandalia, Mo.; son Scott Burgert, St. Joseph, Mo.; daughter Cheryl (Fiance’ Larry McCormick) Kemper, Farmington, Mo.; step-daughter Diana (Mark) Butler, Vandalia, Mo.; step-daughter Kathi Lutz, Fayette, Mo.; step-daughter Laura (Mike) DeVries, Columbia, Mo.; step-son James (Jaclyn) Mosley, Ballwin, Mo.; sister Louise Burgert, Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; sister Sally Kemper, Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; sister Anna Ruth (Donald) McAtee, Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Burgert was preceded in death by his first wife Evelyn (Hammer) Burgert; father Albert J Burgert; brother Albert “Buddy” Burgert Jr.; mother Anna R (Uding) Burgert; sisters Lolita Grass, Eileen Trautman, Alberta Gegg, and Armida Burgert.
Visitation will be at Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve, Mo. on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Service will be at Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve, Mo. on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 1 p.m. The Clergy will be the Rev. Gregory Klump.
Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.

He was a member of the Country Music Association, loved farming, and Nascar Racing. Basler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
