Any students in grades 7-12 attending Van-Far Jr./Sr. High School who will be participating in an extra curricular event will be required to be drug tested prior to participation. Events that this will include are FBLA, FCCLA, SADD, MASS, FFA, STUCO, NHS, and any other extra curricular events along with all MSHSAA events; all sports, cheerleading, band, choir, scholar bowl, speech, and drama are required to be tested. The district pays the cost of the initial test along with all random tests. If a student fails to test during this time they will not be allowed to participate until such time as they are drug tested and that expense is on the parents. Testing will be held on Tuesday, August 6, starting with grades 7-8 from 9-10 a.m. followed by grades 9-12 students from 10 a.m.-noon. All testing will take place in the high school building.
