On Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m., in St. Pat’s Hall, the Susanna Randolph Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) held the annual George Washington Birthday Celebration.
Chapter Regent Joy Davis welcomed everyone to the celebration. Gayle Jones, 2019 DAR Good Citizens chairperson, introduced Caden Wilburn, son of Jay and Tracy Wilburn, of Laddonia, as the Van-Far High School Good Citizen. Jones then introduced Megan Kuda, daughter of Danny and Kelly Kuda, of Martinsburg, as the Community R-VI High School Good Citizen. Both students told the group their future plans and were congratulated by those present. Teresa Wenzel gave a short program on George Washington and hostesses Barbara Elzea, Paula James, Kathy Mommens, and Wanda Winders served cake, nuts, mints, and punch as refreshments.
