Cruisin’ fun in Martinsburg

Car enthusiasts from all over the area once again enjoyed gathering in downtown Martinsburg on a beautiful evening Friday, April 26 for the 16th Annual Martinsburg Cruise Night and Car Show.
Announcing for the event and providing music entertainment was Music Express mobile DJ service. Those in attendance also enjoyed food, a corn trailer by Poet for the kids, cars of many different models and ages for all to observe, as well as closing out the night with the annual burnout exhibition.
There was a great turnout with several of the downtown Martinsburg streets and many of their parking lots filled with vehicles and people.
As the evening progressed, many awards were given out before the night wraps up with the burn-out.
The 2019 Show Class winners this year were; Best Car-Julie Blair , 1965 Ford Mustang, of Mexico
Best Truck-Ralph Atterberry, 1952 Ford Pickup Series F-1, of Montgomery City.
Best Motorcycle-Gabe Regot, 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special, of Vandalia.
Best Race Car-Jace Gay, 2016 Modified of Farber
Best Street Rod-Rob Hudson, 1932 Ford three window coupe, of Mexico.
Best Muscle Car-Paul Ridgway, 1969 Mach I Mustang, of Mexico.
Best Rat Rod-Jamey Simmons, 1948 Chevy Sedan, of New London.
Best Antique Car (Pre 1949)-Sonny Wade, 1927 Model T, of Wright City.
Best Antique Truck (Pre 1949)-Robert Manes, 1937 Chevy Pickup, of Jonesburg.
Best Antique Car (Post 1949)-Roger Moser, of Fulton.
Farthest Distance Traveled-Steve Howard, 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass, of Pocatello Idaho.
Best of Show-Gordon Teague, 1962 Chevy Corvette, of Vandalia.
Entry/attendance prize winners were Jared Jones, Jeff Polston, and Robbie Scheiner.
50/50 Raffle winners of $100 each were Troy Rafferty, George Shaw, and Donald Fowler.
