Those attending from Audrain County were Palmyra Dubbert, Susie Johnson, and Jerry Johnson. In back are Brent Erisman, Rick Dubbert, Barb Wilson, and Bruce Wilson.

For a few days, after a particularly difficult year with low market prices and extreme weather conditions, Audrain County Farm Bureau members gathered to focus on gratitude for their way of life.
Gratitude was the theme of the 104th Annual Meeting of Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) held Dec. 2-4 at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Members heard from several Missouri Congressmen, Senator Roy Blunt, and Senator-elect Josh Hawley. Missouri Governor Mike Parsons and incoming Attorney General Eric Schmitt also spoke to the group.
Farm Bureau counties were recognized for their advocacy and service to members. County leaders’ primary purpose at the meeting is to approve legislative policy and elect Farm Bureau leadership for the coming year. New policies were adopted on changes to the initiative petition process, mandating higher rural broadband speeds, keeping tax revenues on wind and solar energy local, and addressing the shortage of large animal veterinarians.
More than 550 county delegates re-elected MOFB President Blake Hurst, a farmer from Westboro, to a two-year term.
The Audrain County Farm Bureau joined more than 1,200 other members from throughout the state.
