    1. Training scheduled for area first responders @ New Florence Ambulance Station
      8:00 am – 12:00 pm

      MoDOT is encouraging all responders to attend one of the upcoming Traffic Incident Management (TIM) training sessions. In the effort to make all responders safe while working an incident and all travelers safe when they encounter an incident, MoDOT encourages on-going training and continued relationship building across agencies as is critical to safe and effective Incident Management
      All law enforcement, fire, transportation, EMS, public safety, towing and recovery, public works and HAZMAT disciplines are encouraged to attend this training. Additional course and certification information is below. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact Danny Behl, MoDOT, at 573-248-6517 or danny.behl@modot.mo.gov

          The Second Christian Church will be hosting the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on January 17 at 3 p.m. The speaker will be Sister Ayanna Shivers, of Harper Chapel Everybody Church of Montgomery City. The pastor of Second Christian Church is Rev. Melvin McCaleb Sr.; Associate Pastors are Bro. Robin Terrell and Bro. Oscar Williams.

          KidzConnect will be held on early-out day, January 27. First Presbyterian Church is again inviting any youth K-6th grade to come to KidzConnect from 2-4 p.m. on early-out day, Wednesday January 27. Snacks, crafts, and activities will be offered where kids can connect with each other and Christ.
          The remaining early-out days are January 27, February 24, March 16, and April 27. If you student needs a ride after school to the First Presbyterian Church (214 North Jefferson Street) or if you have questions, please call the church pastor, Reverend Joel Montgomery 594-2049 or Greta Hopke 594-2826.

          The Audrain County Health Department (ACHD) Winter Love and Logic parenting class. The Winter session will be Friday, January 29, 5:30-9 p.m. and Saturday, January 30, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the ACHD, 1130 S. Elmwood, Mexico. Pre-registration is required.
          Kelly Upham will present “America’s Most Practical and Entertaining Parent Training.” Greta Hopke, R.D. will present “Your Family’s Health” with tips for getting your kids to make healthier food choices. This training program will encourage you to enhance your families health through healthier relationships and healthier bodies. Love and Logic is free of charge for parents, teachers, and caregivers.         1. Vandalia Library begins Story Time on Feb. 4 @ Vandalia Branch Library
          10:00 am – 10:30 am

          The Vandalia Branch Library will start Story Time on Thursday, February 4 from 10-10:30 a.m. Story Time is for children who are 2 1/2-5 years of age. Parents will need to stay with their child during Story Time.
          Story Time is held every Thursday unless school is not is session or is cancelled due to bad weather. Our programs are planned around a weekly theme. We will read books, do nursery rhymes, play with puppets and have fun! Attending our program is a great way to introduce your child to books and reading.
          If you have any questions about Story Time or other library services, please call the library at 594-6600.

          The Vandalia Area Fair Association will be holding its Annual Auction and Fish Fry on Saturday, February 6 at the Sacred Heart Parish Center in Vandalia.
          Entertainment will be provided by Debra Ingram.
          Doors will open at 4 p.m. with the meal being served at 5 p.m. and the auction starting at 6:30 p.m. A Fish Fry as well as ham dinners will be available for purchase.

          MoDOT is encouraging all responders to attend one of the upcoming Traffic Incident Management (TIM) training sessions. In the effort to make all responders safe while working an incident and all travelers safe when they encounter an incident, MoDOT encourages on-going training and continued relationship building across agencies as is critical to safe and effective Incident Management
          All law enforcement, fire, transportation, EMS, public safety, towing and recovery, public works and HAZMAT disciplines are encouraged to attend this training.           The Vandalia Branch Library will start Story Time on Thursday, February 4 from 10-10:30 a.m. Story Time is for children who are 2 1/2-5 years of age. Parents will need to stay with their child during Story Time.
          Story Time is held every Thursday unless school is not is session or is cancelled due to bad weather. Our programs are planned around a weekly theme. We will read books, do nursery rhymes, play with puppets and have fun! Attending our program is a great way to introduce your child to books and reading.

          Doors will open at 4 p.m. with the meal being served at 5 p.m. and the auction starting at 6:30 p.m. A Fish Fry as well as ham dinners will be available for purchase.

      MoDOT is encouraging all responders to attend one of the upcoming Traffic Incident Management (TIM) training sessions. In the effort to make all responders safe while working an incident and all travelers safe when they encounter an incident, MoDOT encourages on-going training and continued relationship building across agencies as is critical to safe and effective Incident Management
      All law enforcement, fire, transportation, EMS, public safety, towing and recovery, public works and HAZMAT disciplines are encouraged to attend this training.       The following is a link to TIM training being held on January 14 at the New Florence Ambulance Station training room. The class will run from 8 a.m.-noon. The New Florence Ambulance Station is located just off Highway 19 on Bobby Stoddard Drive (approximately ¼ mile north of I-70) in Montgomery County.

      KidzConnect will be held on early-out day, January 27. First Presbyterian Church is again inviting any youth K-6th grade to come to KidzConnect from 2-4 p.m. on early-out day, Wednesday January 27. Snacks, crafts, and activities will be offered where kids can connect with each other and Christ.
      The remaining early-out days are January 27, February 24, March 16, and April 27.
