The Spring session of the Audrain County Health Department’s Love and Logic Parenting Class is fast approaching. This year’s spring class will be held on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30 at the Audrain County Health Department, located at 1130 South Elmwood Drive, in Mexico.
There is no cost for attending this two-session program, but pre-registration for interested participants is required. The two sessions are:
          • Andrea Swartz, Peer Counselor presents: “Becoming A Love and Logic Parent”
          • Greta Hopke, RD, will present:  “Your Family’s Health”
The Friday evening session will go from 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m. and the Saturday session is from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
The classes are designed for parents, teachers, and caregivers. The classes meet training hour requirements for foster parents and meet clock-hour guidelines for day care providers.

The classes also focus on helping children develop personal responsibility, self-control and good decision making skills. Most importantly, Love and Logic focuses on nurturing long-term relationships and reinforcing good character,” said ACHD Administrator Sandra Hewlett, MS, APRN, FACHE.

The classes also focus on helping children develop personal responsibility, self-control and good decision making skills. Most importantly, Love and Logic focuses on nurturing long-term relationships and reinforcing good character,” said ACHD Administrator Sandra Hewlett, MS, APRN, FACHE.
