Memorial services for Bradley Cole Martin, 53, of Vandalia, was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Vandalia First Baptist Church Family Life Center, with the Reverend Mike Barter and the Reverend Bob Hoehn officiating.
Private family burial services will be at a later date. Visitation was held on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Family Life Center.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bienhoff Funeral Home.
Mr. Martin passed away at 5:49 p.m., September 18, 2013 at Audrain Medical Center, Mexico.
He was born August 19, 1960 in Mexico, the son of Sam Perry and Mary Margaret Flowerree Martin. Survivors include one brother, Don (Johnna McGruder) Martin of Middletown; three sisters, Muriel (Averil) Beshears of Vandalia, Nita (Sean) Rooney of Marietta, Georgia, and Judy (Don) Williams of Smithville; eleven nieces and nephews; and thirteen great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Martin was a lifetime area resident. He attended the Vandalia First Baptist Church.
He was a self employed mechanic who loved working on cars and playing pool. Memorial contributions may be made to Van-Far Alumni & Friends Association Scholarship Fund, in care of Jeanne George or the Vandalia Cemetery Association.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Allen, Steve Brookshier, Mark Butler, Ken Riechard, Danny Detienne, Larry Baird, Larry Parks, Don Ingram, Marvin Dillion, and his nieces and nephews.
