Terry and Linda Witte, of Vandalia, will be celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary on May 26, 2013. The Wittes have two children, Aaron and Jonathan, along with one grandchild, Aaron’s son Noah. The two were married on May 27, 1973.
On May 17-18, the V.F.W. Auxillary Post No. 2173 will be passing out Buddy Poppies for donations. The money raised from the poppies will go toward the Veterans Home and Hospital, National Home for Children (home for orphans of our nation’s veterans), phone cards for wounded veterans in the hospital and for active duty personnel, flags for the cemeteries and other projects that support the veterans. Gary Stuart Sosniecki of Bensenville, Ill., and Helen Louise Stephens of Clinton were married May 15, 1973, at Dripping Spring Christian Church near Columbia, Mo.
