    Ella Marie King and Violet Elizabeth King, twin daughters, of  O’Fallon, celebrated their 4th birthday on September 14 at their home in O’Fallon. Ella and Violet’s grandparents are William and Betty Barber, of Vandalia; Mark and Diane King; and Judy King of Alton, Ill. Those attending the birthday celebration were their Aunt Lori, Chase Branham, Brent, Christina, Madux, and Cameron Brown along with some of their friends from O’Fallon.

  • Class of 1954 holds 60 year reunion

    The Vandalia High School Class of 1954 met for their 60-year class reunion on September 13. The celebration began with an informal “meet and greet” at the Perry Junction, followed by a superb dinner. Thirteen of the original 28 graduates paid their respects to deceased classmates Suzie Potter, Lamar Williams, Bill Wayne Smith, and Randell Hudson.
