Monday Study Club meets

The first Fall Monday Study Club meeting was held September 8 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Vandalia. The hostess for the meeting was Ann Foreman.   • Young Eagles set for Sept. 6 program

    The Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter No. 1387 will hold its next 2014 Young Eagles Spring Program on Saturday morning, September 6.   • Agape House gets new member

    Edith Westmoreland of Bowling Green joined the board of directors of Agape House of Vandalia during the August 19 meeting.  Westmoreland is a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and holds part-time employment in Hannibal. In other business, the manager’s report indicated there were 97 guests, including 28 children, at the house in July.   • Historical Society to sponsor Corn Husking Contest for Prairie Days
