Historical Society to sponsor Corn Husking Contest for Prairie Days

President Paul Ray opened the August 15 meeting of the Vandalia Area Historical Society by asking each of those present to name their “must see” TV program.     The Ladies’ Auxiliary to VFW Post No. 2173 met on Thursday, June 12, at the post home in Vandalia.  President Victoria Shaw called the 7 p.m. meeting to order. Opening ceremonies were observed.     The St. Cecilia Music Club met May 19 at 7 p.m. at the home of Sue Beshears.
