Conceal Carry

The Audrain County Sheriff’s Office will host an 8-hour concealed carry weapons training class on Saturday, May 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The class will consist of 4 hours of classroom training in the Training Room of the Sheriff’s Office and 4 hours of firearms training at the Firing Range behind the Sheriffs’ Office.   • Gatson helps team take second

    The University of Missouri meat judging team placed seventh in the National Western Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest at the 2014 National Western Stock Show in Denver. Kathryn Coon from Bethel, Mo., and Garth Gatson of Vandalia, Mo., finished with several individual honors. Coon placed second in specifications and was 12th overall.     Audrain County has been awarded federal funds under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program.
