V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary meets

The Ladies’ Auxiliary to VFW Post No. 2173 met on Thursday, August 14, at the post home in Vandalia. President Victoria Shaw called the 7 p.m. meeting to order. Opening ceremonies were observed. The minutes were approved as read for the July meeting. The treasurer reported the current balance with her report being filed for audit. A bill was allowed. Community Service hours were reported to Chairman Ann Wasson. Membership

  • Cut Scout Pack No. 59 meets

    On April 10, Cub Scout Pack No. 59 met at the Vandalia United Methodist Church. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance, the Cub Scout Promise, and the Cut Scout Motto. During the meeting Bob Cat badges were awarded to the  scouts who had completed the requirements to earn the badge. They were Joseph Govero, Kai Blackford, Gabriel Freie, Drake Woodson, Alex Wilson, Richard Hayden, and Trinton Kasper.
