Agape House meets

In their May 19 meeting, Agape House of Vandalia board members reviewed by-laws of the organization and approved them in their original form. In other business, the house manager reported there were 69 guests, including 14 children, staying at the house in April.     The Agape House of Vandalia board members met February 17 at the house. The board learned 59 persons, including 11 children, had stayed at the guesthouse in January while they visited family members incarcerated at Bowling Green and Vandalia.   • Maiden awarded Chapter CE P.E.O. scholarship

    Presenting the Program for Continuing Education (PCE) grant check to Stephanie Maiden are Linda Witte, PCE Chairperson for Chapter CE, P.E.O.; Maiden, grant recipient; and Cindy McKee-Pirch, President of Chapter CE, P.E.O.).

    Stephanie Maiden has been awarded the Program for Continuing Education (PCE) Grant from International P.E.O. Maiden, who is currently employed as a Certified Nurses Aid/Certified Medical Technician, has recently returned to school to complete her Licensed Practical Nursing degree.     FFA Members Karissa Graves and Bryan Allen received Audrain County R-VI FFA’s National Chapter 3 Star Award on stage at the National FFA Convention.

  • Ladies’ Auxiliary meets

    The Ladies’ Auxiliary to VFW Post No. 2173 met on Thursday, November 13, at the post home in Vandalia.     Audrain County USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Judith Stowers, reminds producers that all 2015 perennial and biennial forage crops must be reported by November 15 and fall-seeded small grains by December 15.
