Cut Scout Pack No. 59 meets

On April 10, Cub Scout Pack No. 59 met at the Vandalia United Methodist Church. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance, the Cub Scout Promise, and the Cut Scout Motto. During the meeting Bob Cat badges were awarded to the  scouts who had completed the requirements to earn the badge. They were Joseph Govero, Kai Blackford, Gabriel Freie, Drake Woodson, Alex Wilson, Richard Hayden, and Trinton Kasper.

    The Ralls County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating several incidents of fraud that has occurred throughout Ralls County. At this time the investigation has centered around two subjects from the Licking , Missouri area, who are currently suspects in these incidents.     The University of Missouri meat judging team placed seventh in the National Western Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest at the 2014 National Western Stock Show in Denver. Kathryn Coon from Bethel, Mo., and Garth Gatson of Vandalia, Mo., finished with several individual honors. Coon placed second in specifications and was 12th overall.
