48th Anniversary scheduled for Faith Tabernacle COGIC

The 48th Church Anniversary for Faith Tabernacle COGIC will start on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. with a musical and history reflections of the church. On Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m., there will be a prayer breakfast. Vandalia Mayor Ralph Kuda, Jr. will be a guest speaker.     The Van-Far Chiefs Marching Band entertained the crowd this past Monday evening with a concert entitled “A Marching Year in Reveiw.” The event was directed by Alex Cucciarre.     The 1947 Vandalia High School graduating class met for their 67th class reunion on October 4 at the “Country Cupboard” in Vandalia. At 11:30 a.m., classmates, their spouses, and guests began arriving for fellowship time. Dorris Sanderson Breneman and Ann Riney Wasson greeted everyone as they arrived and Dorris registered everyone. Each of the two tables had a centerpiece of a fall arrangement. R-VI FFA hosts Food for America event

Audrain County R-VI Chapter and Greenhand Officers planned a Christmas themed Food For America program for Kindergarten-5th grade classes at Community R-VI Elementary School. FFA members taught elementary students about Christmas tree production, then created Christmas tree snow globes in mason jars. Officers plan a monthly program for the elementary students to educate them about different areas of agriculture, ranging from food production, commodities, plant science, and animal science.

    The Van-Far Elementary School 5th and 6th grade students presented “North Pole Exposure” on Monday, December 16 in the gymnasium.
