Van-Far students perform “Beauty and the Beast”

The cast of “Beauty and the Beast” delighted crowds with their performances last Friday and Saturday at Van-Far High School. The two act musical featured a large cast with handmade and other costumes rented from Odessa High School.   • Fundraiser Concert held at Van-Far

    The Van-Far Music Department held a Fundraiser Concert on Sunday, April 12 to raise money for a performance at the Russell Athletic Bowl this upcoming December. The bowl game will be played in Orlando, Florida. The five day experience will also allow the band to march in the Macy’s Holiday Parade at Universal Studios. R-VI FFA hosts Food for America event

Audrain County R-VI Chapter and Greenhand Officers planned a Christmas themed Food For America program for Kindergarten-5th grade classes at Community R-VI Elementary School. FFA members taught elementary students about Christmas tree production, then created Christmas tree snow globes in mason jars. Officers plan a monthly program for the elementary students to educate them about different areas of agriculture, ranging from food production, commodities, plant science, and animal science.

    The Van-Far Elementary School 5th and 6th grade students presented “North Pole Exposure” on Monday, December 16 in the gymnasium.
