    On March 28-29, four Ralls County girls, Halynna Yager and Rebecca Moore, of Vandalia’s Brice Happy Hustlers; Sydnee Brothers, of Center’s Wise Guys; and Jaylyn Hudelson, of New London’s Rocky Point 4-H Club, were among the 342 people attending the 2015 State 4-H Teen Conference, at the University of Missouri and the Holiday Inn Executive Center.   • Fitness Night set for Van-Far Elementary

    Van-Far Elementary School will be having their annual Fitness Night on April 23 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. to celebrate the end of our “Jump Rope for Heart” fundraiser. R-VI FFA hosts Food for America event

Audrain County R-VI Chapter and Greenhand Officers planned a Christmas themed Food For America program for Kindergarten-5th grade classes at Community R-VI Elementary School. FFA members taught elementary students about Christmas tree production, then created Christmas tree snow globes in mason jars. Officers plan a monthly program for the elementary students to educate them about different areas of agriculture, ranging from food production, commodities, plant science, and animal science.

    A Winter Music Program featuring Community R-VI Middle and High School students was held last Tuesday night inside the new gym. The program took place under the direction of Eva Eikel and Rose Wilburn.     The Van-Far Elementary School 5th and 6th grade students presented “North Pole Exposure” on Monday, December 16 in the gymnasium. The 6th grade band opened with “Jingle Bells” and the 6th grade choir performed a “Jolly Jingle Christmas” medley. The “North Pole Exposure” play consisted of eight scenes.
