Class of 1959 holds reunion

The Van-Far High School graduating Class of 1959 held it’s 55th reunion on October 25 at the Country Cupboard in Vandalia. Decorations were in the school colors of black and gold with black tablecloths and gold napkins. Bonnie Gibson and Janie Zimmer decorated each table with a crystal vase filled with gold balls. R-VI FFA hosts Food for America event

Audrain County R-VI Chapter and Greenhand Officers planned a Christmas themed Food For America program for Kindergarten-5th grade classes at Community R-VI Elementary School. FFA members taught elementary students about Christmas tree production, then created Christmas tree snow globes in mason jars. Officers plan a monthly program for the elementary students to educate them about different areas of agriculture, ranging from food production, commodities, plant science, and animal science.

    The Van-Far Elementary School 5th and 6th grade students presented “North Pole Exposure” on Monday, December 16 in the gymnasium.
