Class of 1954 holds 60 year reunion

The Vandalia High School Class of 1954 met for their 60-year class reunion on September 13. The celebration began with an informal “meet and greet” at the Perry Junction, followed by a superb dinner. Thirteen of the original 28 graduates paid their respects to deceased classmates Suzie Potter, Lamar Williams, Bill Wayne Smith, and Randell Hudson.     Weather permitting, Monday, September 15, a resurfacing project will begin on US 54 near Mexico in Audrain County. The project will be completed from Route J to Scott’s Corner at MO 19 for a total of 11.8 miles. Chester Bross Construction of Palmyra, Missouri was awarded the contract for $1,285,748.04 and has 45 calendar days to complete the project.
