Happy Hustlers set for fundraiser event

The Brice Happy Hustlers 4-H Club All You Can Eat Soup Fundraiser will be February 7 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Menu includes chicken noodle soup, chili, and vegetable  soup, sandwich, dessert, and drink for $6. Children ages three and under eat free with a adult purchase. The fundraiser will be held at the Modern Maturity building.

  • “Story Time” set for Feb. 5 in Vandalia

    The Vandalia Branch Library will start “Story Time” on Thursday, February 5 from 10 a.m.-10:30 a.m. “Story Time” is for children  ages 2 1/2 to 5. Parents will need to stay with their child during Story Time. It will be held every Thursday unless school is not in session or is canceled due to bad weather.     Vandalia area residents enjoyed this year’s Card Party held last Saturday, which was hosted by the Vandalia Area Historical Society.

    The Vandalia Area Historical Society (VAHS) held their 2nd Annual Fundraising Card Party last Saturday. Due to the party’s overwhelming success these past two years, it was decided to make this an annual event.     The Vandalia Area Fair Fundraiser Auction and Fish Fry has been scheduled for Saturday, February 7 at the Sacred Heart Parish Center in Vandalia.     The Second Christian Church in Vandalia honored the memory and legacy of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a celebration on Sunday afternoon in Vandalia.     Community R-VI inducted students into the National Honor Society during their induction ceremony held on Monday, January 12.
