The Vandalia Area Fair is selling season passes at a discounted rate starting Friday, June 7. Rates will go back up on Monday, June 17. The discounted prices include $20 for senior passes (ages 65 and over), $20 for kids, and $25 for adults. Current places for ticket sales include First National Bank, County Market, Martinsburg Bank and Trust, as well as Bank of America.
The Perry Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2013 schedule of events for the Perry Fourth of July Celebration. This year’s celebration will be held on Thursday, July 4 at Bill Trower Memorial Park in Perry. Vandalia High School Class of 1953 celebrates 60 year reunion. The Class of 1953 of Vandalia High School gathered in Vandalia on April 26 and 27 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of their graduation. The group met at the Methodist Church on Friday night for a casual get-together and snacks, sharing photos, scrapbooks and memories of good times. A buffet dinner was held at the Fire Brick on Saturday evening.
