ACHD Car Seat Program

An average of 1,700 children are killed in motor vehicle accidents in the United States each year. A number the Audrain County Health Department (ACHD) finds way too high.     The “Fans For Audrain County Program” can help residents beat the summer heat. Beginning Monday, May 18, fans will be distributed from Audrain County Health Department during normal business hours 8 a.m.– 4 p.m. Monday-Friday to those who qualify.   • SSM St. Mary’s-Audrain holds special meeting

  • No immunizations on first Friday

    Effective immediately, the Audrain County Health Department will no longer be providing immunizations on the first Friday of the month at the Vandalia Lange building. Vaccines will be provided on the second Thursday of the month from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Vandalia Lange building.  This will be held in conjunction with the monthly WIC clinic.   • ACHD announces Immunization Week

    In conjunction with National Infant Immunization Week, April 18-25, the Audrain County Health Department encourages Missourians to take time to contact their health care provider to ensure children and family members are adequately immunized. This observation is held annually to highlight the importance of protecting children two years and younger from vaccine-preventable diseases.   • Menefee accepts director position

    Kim Menefee has accepted the position as the new Director of Audrain Clinic Operations for the Audrain Medical Group. Menefee’s transition to the new role, will coincide with Jan Zimmerman’s retirement at the beginning of June.     The Audrain County Health Department (ACHD) completed the Food Establishment Report for March 2015. Those food establishments receiving a score of 100 on their March inspections were St. Brendan’s Catholic School, Missouri Military Academy, Sunny Dale Academy, Audrain County Jail Food Service, Casey’s (Laddonia), Andrea C, Pig Up and Go, Fast Lane (Laddonia), Spare Time Bowl and Grill, County Market (Vandalia), Cinema III, and Hard Ride Bakery and Saloon (Laddonia).
