Second Missionary Baptist hosts Car and Bike Show

The Second Missionary Baptist Church had several visitors enjoy the Car and Bike Show in spite of the rain this past Saturday, May 16. Music was provided by “Music Makers Plus” in Vandalia.     A Car and Bike Show will be hosted by the Second Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, May 16. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Food will be available.   • National Day of Prayer event held in Laddonia

    Laddonia area residents lift prayers to a Holy God during National Day of Prayer.

    The Laddonia Ministerial Alliance hosted an observance on the National Day of Prayer last Thursday inside the Laddonia Baptist Church. The event was moved inside due to rain but there were still 31 folks who joined together in prayer.   • First Christian hosts evening for moms

    Treat your mom to dinner and a movie on Sunday, May 10 at the Vandalia First Christian Church. At 5 p.m., a special Mother’s Day dinner will be served.     St. John Lutheran Women’s Guild hosted it’s Mother-Daughter Banquet on April 18 at the St. John Lutheran’s Church Hall. Regina Vogt opened with prayer. Introduction of the speaker was given by Brenda Elliott. Brunch was served and Holly Jungers did a presentation on her trip to New Orleans.
