Friendship Church nears 65 years

  • Homecoming at New Harmony

    The Annual Homecoming and Fish Fry will be held at the New Harmony Christian Church on Sunday, September 21. The carry-in meal will begin at approximately 12:15 p.m. and everyone is invited to attend. A Fall Bible Study is beginning this week on the Book of Proverbs. We will be meeting on Monday nights at 6:30 p.m. at the church (with the exception of the first Monday of each month).

  • Farber Baptist set for annual revival

    The Farber Baptist Church will be hosting a revival September 21-24 at 7 p.m. Each evening will feature a different evangelist and special music. In addition, the  church’s adult choir will sing each evening. Jerry Ostrom is the pastor of Farber Baptist Church.

    At Friendship Baptist Church on Saturday, September 13 at 6 p.m., “The Lesters” from St. Louis, Missouri will be “Live In Concert.” The Lester’s have been an annual feature at Friendship Baptist Church for over 20 years.   • “Women’s Day” observance

    Faith Tabernacle COGIC, 907 West Home Street, Vandalia, will observe Women’s Day on Sunday, September 14. Afternoon services will begin at 2:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Minister Kathy Redmond from Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Bowling Green. Dinner will be served at 1 p.m. prior to the afternoon service.

  • “Dollar Supper” in Frankford

    The Frankford First Christian Church located at 111 N. Main Cross will be hosting a “Dollar Supper” on September 20 from 5-7 p.m. in the lower level of the Church. There will be a wide variety of meats, vegetables, bread, homemade desserts, and drinks- something sure to please everyone’s taste. Proceeds will be used for the church building maintenance.   • Second Christian celebrating 90 years

    The Second Christian Church will be celebrating their 90th Church Anniversary on September 14 at 3 p.m. The speaker will be the Reverend John Harris with Oak Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and Choir of Guthrie, Missouri, as well as the Reverend Marion Mitchell, of Holt Summit, Missouri. The pastor at Second Christian Church is the Reverend Melvin McCaleb, Sr. The associates are Brothers Robin Terrell and Oscar Williams.
